Instrumentation includes a speedometer reading up to 300 mph (483 km/h), a 10,000 rpm tachometer, sequential shift lights, horsepower gauge, oil pressure, water temperature, fuel level, and voltage. The wheels are forged one-piece allow 19×9.5" front and 20×13" wheels, and the tires are Michelin Pilot Sport PS2s, with the front being 235 35 (YR) 19 and rear being 335 30 (YR) 20. It is a mid-engine, rear-wheel-drive car with a carbon fiber body using aluminum crash structures. The car weighs 2800 lb (1270 kg) and has 44% of its weight distributed towards the front. The Aero XT uses a 7-speed SMG paddle-shifted gearbox and has a triple disc carbon clutch. The Aero XT runs on premium unleaded 91-octane fuel. The engine redlines at 9,200 rpm and has a compression ratio of 8.625:1. The SSC Ultimate Aero XT features an SSC-designed 6.9L (6,941 cc 423.6 cu in) twin-turbocharged aluminum V8 engine block producing 1300 hp (969 kW) and 1004 ft They were the last SSC Aero products to be released. It was made to celebrate the end of the Aero series, and only 5 were produced. The SSC Ultimate Aero XT is a derivative of the SSC Ultimate Aero.
